New Axxess Radio Replacement Solutions for Vehicle Personalization Menu Retention at 2018 CES
Holly Hill, FL - January, 2018 – Axxess by Metra Electronics® is introducing ten new vehicle-specific personalization menu retention products at CES this year. These integration solutions are designed for retaining personalization menus and other OE features (which vary by vehicle), when replacing the factory radio. They provide 12-volt 10-amp accessory power, retain chimes (when provided by the OEM), retain the factory screen, retain customization and personalization menus, retain the climate control display when needed, and retain steering wheel controls. NAV outputs for parking brake, reverse, mute and speed sense are also provided. These solutions are also Micro “B” USB updatable. New solutions for select Fiat, Jeep, Land Rover, and Volkswagen vehicle applications will be on display at CES booth #5211 in the North Hall, from January 9-12, 2018.
Solutions for Fiat
The XSVI-6524-BT is for Fiat 2013 and up* vehicle applications, and can be used in either non-amplified or amplified models. A pre-wired ASWC-1 harness is included for use with the Axxess ASWC-1 (sold separately). It also retains R.A.P. (retained accessory power), balance and fade, and retains the 3.5mm AUX-IN jack. This solution retains the factory backup camera if displayed through the OEM radio. If using a custom Bluetooth® app like the AX-CUSTOM-BT, it allows the ability to manipulate the vehicle customization settings via a smartphone app that are usually lost when adding an aftermarket radio.
The AX-FT901 is for Fiat 2014 and up* and the AX-FT902 is for Fiat 2015 and up* vehicle applications, and can be used in non-amplified models. These two solutions will retain the factory screen but not the OEM camera.
Jeep 2016 and up* Solution
The AX-JP901 is for Jeep 2016 and up* vehicle applications, and can be used in non-amplified models. Personalization menu retention is done through the reverse camera input on the aftermarket radio. It retains the factory screen, however the OEM camera is not retained.
Solutions for Land Rover
The AX-LR9012 is for Land Rover 2011-2015 and the AX-LR902 is for Land Rover 2014 and up* vehicle applications and can be used in non-amplified or amplified models. In addition to the specifications listed, the AX-LR903 is for Land Rover 2011-2014 and the AX-LR904 is for Land Rover 2006-2014 applications, and both will also retain the factory AUX-IN jack. Personalization menu retention is done through the reverse camera input on the aftermarket radio. All four of the new solutions will retain the factory screen, however the OEM camera is not retained.
Solutions for Volkswagen
The AX-VW901 is for Volkswagen 2008-2016 vehicle applications and the AX-VW903 is for 2015 and up* vehicle applications. Personalization menu retention is done through the reverse camera input on the aftermarket radio. The factory screen is retained but additional parts are required to retain the OEM camera.
