Metra Electronics® to Feature 20 New Dash Kits for Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX
Holly Hill, FL – Metra Electronics®, the leading manufacturer of aftermarket dashboard kits, is excited to feature 20 new vehicle-specific dash kits designed specifically for the Pioneer Modular Solutions DMH-C5500NEX 8-inch touchscreen in-dash receiver, expanding more than 30 different popular vehicle models. These patent-pending kits allow installers to seamlessly install the modular Pioneer touchscreen display panel into customers’ vehicles with minor or no dashboard modifications, making for a more cost-effective installation process. Several kits are available in multiple color options to maintain the cosmetic appearance to match the factory color and finish for different trim level options.
Metra’s plastic TurboKits® are proudly made in the USA with the highest quality ABS plastic using injection molding technology to ensure a superior design and fit. 14 TurboKits fit select models for Jeep Wrangler, Ford F-150 and Super Duty, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, and Toyota’s Tacoma, Tundra, Highlander, Corolla and Camry. Additionally, Metra is featuring 6 new TurboTouch® dash kits to fit select Dodge Ram, Ford F-150 and Ford Mustang models. TurboTouch dash kits feature integrated electronics and have a 4.3 inch touchscreen display and buttons that retain and control most climate vehicle customization functions normally lost when removing the factory radio. An Axxess® interface is built into the touchscreen and Axxess ASWC technology retains the factory steering wheel audio controls. These kits also include the antenna adapter and wiring harness and are Micro “B” USB updatable.
Metra began shipping several of the kits for the Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX in the Spring of 2019 and has been releasing new models each month. Now, installers will be able to see all of the existing and new Metra engineered solutions for this unique 8-inch Pioneer in-dash receiver on display at the SEMA Show. In addition to these 20 vehicle-specific models, Metra has introduced a universal trim ring and universal mounting kit for the Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX to cover even more vehicle applications.
