Metra Electronics to Launch 30 New TurboKits at CES 2018
Holly Hill, FL - January, 2018 – Metra Electronics® is launching a total of 38 new dashboard kits for a wide range of vehicle applications at CES. Among them, 30 new TurboKits will be on display at booth #5211 in the North Hall, January 9 -12, 2018. Eight new kits with integrated electronics will also debut at the show; three TurboTouch™ Kits, two TurboTactile™ Kits and two Turbo2® Kits. “Our goal is to offer the highest quality and most comprehensive selection of dashboard kits and radio replacement solutions for installers,” says Colin Ehrhardt, Director of Research and Technical Services at Metra Electronics. “While we look forward to launching many new solutions at SEMA and CES, we continue to introduce new products consistently throughout the year,” Ehrhardt added.
New TurboKits for Domestic Vehicles
The 95-3025B is specifically designed for Double-DIN radio installations for Buick Encore (Vauxhall/Opel/Mokka) 2013-2016 models and is painted to match the factory finish. The 95-3004 is for Cadillac Escalade 2002 models and also designed specifically for Double-DIN radio installations. Minor dashboard modifications are needed for this vehicle application, and Metra Electronics has included a cut template with detailed directions for an easy install.
Four new kits for Chevrolet will join Metra’s TurboKit product line. The 95-3009 is designed specifically for Double-DIN radio installations for the Chevrolet Camaro 1993-1996 models. Installation requires minor sub-dashboard modifications and Metra Electronics has included a replacement panel that matches the factory texture, which creates space for the Double-DIN head unit. Detailed directions are included for an easy install. Two new kits for the Chevrolet Trax 2017 and up* models are painted gloss black to match the factory color and finish. The 95-3023HG is designed for Double-DIN radio installations and the 99-3023HG is for Single-DIN radio installations. For Chevrolet Impala 2014 and up* models, the 99-3024B has parts included for Single-DIN and Double-DIN radio installations. It is painted scratch-resistant matte black to match the factory finish.
Ford F-250 2017 and up* XL models that are not equipped with a CD player now have a new Metra TurboKit, painted matte black to match the factory color and finish. The 95-5850B is designed specifically for Double-DIN radio installations and the 99-5850B is for Single-DIN radio installations. The 95-6545B is for Jeep Compass 2017 (late production) and up* Sport models, designed specifically for Double-DIN radio installations, and the 99-6545B is for Single-DIN radio installations. Both kits are painted scratch-resistant matte black to match the factory color and finish.
New TurboKits for Hyundai, Honda, Mazda and Toyota
New Hyundai radio replacement solutions include the 99-7381 for Hyundai Santa Fe 2008-2009 models with navigation. Parts are included for both Single-DIN and Double-DIN radio installations. For Hyundai Sonata 2018 and up* models, the 95-7383 is designed specifically for the installation of Double-DIN radios and the 99-7383 is for Single-DIN radio installations. Both kits are painted to match the factory color and finish.
New kits for the Honda CRV 2017 and up* LX models are painted gloss black to match the factory color and finish. The 95-7817HG is designed specifically for Double-DIN radio installations and the 99-7817HG is for Single-DIN radio installations. For Mazda 5 2006-2010 models with navigation, the 99-7525S is designed for Single-DIN and Double-DIN radio installations. It is painted silver to match the factory finish.
The 99-8266 is for the Toyota Camry 2018 and up* models, designed to match the factory finish with parts included for Single-DIN and Double-DIN radio installations. This kit is anticipated to begin shipping in the spring of 2018. For the Toyota Matrix 2013, the 99-8267 has parts included for Single-DIN and Double-DIN radio installations.
Additional New TurboKits for European Models
Twelve new TurboKits for select Land Rover, BMW, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz models will also be introduced at CES, in addition to a new speaker adapter.
