Holly Hill, Fla. – A year after its introduction in the United States as a European-style, compact work van, the 2010 Ford Transit Connect made a splash on this side of the pond by hauling in this year’s North American Truck of the Year honors at the North American International Auto Show in January.

  

Now, Transit Connect owners can upgrade to a sound system that works as hard as they do with three new car stereo dash kits from Metra Electronics that match the original factory colors and textures.

 

The dash kits 99-5824B (matte black), 99-5824S (silver) and 99-5824CH (charcoal) are designed for Transit models 2010 and up. The kits also work for other Ford models not found in North America such as the Focus and the Focus C-Max (2005 and up); the Fiesta, Fusion, Galaxy, S-Max and Transit (2006 and up); and the Kuga (2008 and up).

The kits include: radio housing; radio housing trim panel; ISO brackets; ISO trim-plate; pocket; DDIN brackets and a DDIN trim plate. Metra’s easy-to-follow instructions make the install as smooth as possible. 

 

To simplify the wiring and antenna connections, use Metra’s 2010 Ford Transit Harness 70-5523 and the Euro Antenna Adapter 40-VW10 (1986 and up) – both sold separately.
